Makes one loaf
Ingredients
120g Plain flour
50g Cocoa powder
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
3 Large ripe bananas
60g Butter melted
55g Vegetable oil
165g light brown sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
175g Dark chocolate chips
Here’s how
Pre heat your oven to 170°c.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and sea salt.
In another large bowl, smash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add the melted butter and oil and stir until combined.
Stir in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and don’t overmix, a few lumps are ok.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into the loaf tin.
Bake for 50 - 60 minutes.
Leave the cake to cool before turning out.
