Ingredients
1pt full fat milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 fillets Smoked haddock
1 medium onion chopped finely
2 leeks chopped into 1cm pieces
4 potatoes peeled and diced
1 tbsp plain flour
1 lemon
2 tbsp chopped chives
Here’s how
Pour the milk, salt and pepper into a large non stick pan on a medium heat.
Add in the onions, leeks and potatoes into the milk.
Cook the milk for 10-15 minutes on a gentle heat.
Stir in the flour until it fully dissolves and the sauce begins to thicken.
Remove the skin from the fish and cut into 3cm chunks, then add to the Milk.
Cook the fish for 5-10 minutes, then finish the stew with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of chives.
