There's no better accompaniment to a Christmas roast than this decadent stuffing with a festive gingerbread twist.
Serves 6-8.Products used:
MasterClass Non-Stick 23cm Square Bake Pan
MasterClass Edgekeeper Self-Sharpening 20cm (8") Chef Knife
MasterClass Cast Aluminium 28cm Fry Pan
Ingredients:
2 medium white onions
6 sage leaves
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
300g gingerbread (crumbs)
100g bread crumbs
400g pulled/shredded cooked ham
400g sausage meat
1500ml ginger beer
Method:
Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
Chop the onions and place into a pan with the oil, chopped sage leaves and salt. Cook for 5-10 minutes until soft.
Add the sausage meat. Using the back of a wooden spoon breakup the meat into smaller pieces.
Pour in the ginger beer and add the shredded ham. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Scatter in the gingerbread crumbs and bread crumbs. Stir together until the stuffing thickens.
Pour the stuffing mixture into a baking tin and bake for 35-40 minutes.
