Ingredients
250g soften butter
250g caster sugar
4 medium eggs
2 limes
250g self raising flour
2 tbsp black sesame seeds
2 tbsp white sesame seeds
100g icing sugar
Method
Beat the softened butter and caster sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time making sure you mix each egg in before adding the next.
Add the zest of both your limes and sieve in the flour before folding the mixture together.
Sprinkle in the both types of sesame seeds.
Pour the cake mixture into the non stick tin and bake in a preheated oven 170c for 25-30 minutes.
When the cake is baked remove from the oven and leave to stand for 15-20minutes before trying to remove as this will give the cake time to cool a little and retract from the sides of the tin.
Mix together the juice of he limes and the icing sugar to form a drizzle icing and pour over the cake before serving.
